A pleasant oasis amidst the flatted factories. Car & good weather required. Basement carpark available next door at CleanTech 3. And also it seems like a hangout spot for twitchers
I was here in March 2021.
It was such a lovely sunny day so I decided to come there by bus. When you get off the bus, you might need to walk for around 10 to 15 minutes as I recalled. But don’t worry, just follow the arrow, you will reach there soon.
At first, I thought it is just a outdoor display area but it really is a jungle, very spacious area full of pottery.
When I came there, I had to go in the right entrance first because it was just after the covid-19 ease of restriction, so the other entrance was blocked (as you can see in the picture). Yet, I believe right now everything is easier for you.
You will go through many different collections of pottery styles, patterns, and color as well. I am not a pottery collector but I am mesmerized by the grandiose of the place, how they arrange the plates, vases and so one. Some of the furniture are quite ancient as well.
I love the back area of the house, where you can create your own masterpiece there. They have different workshop classes for you to join in. It could be a good experience for the kids too.
Besides, they also have a corner selling all kinds of tableware. I did buy some at the end of my visiting.
There is a super big doggy there, I was scared of him at the first time because he was sleeping when I stepped in. I thought I startled him so he barked at me :)))).
Definitely come back there again to see whether they have any changes or not.

Thow Kwang Pottery is a hidden gem located in the far western side of Singapore. This rustic pottery store carries an extensive collection of pottery and porcelain items, including a lovely range of PERANAKAN ware that makes for excellent gifts or stylish additions to any home.
They are also operating the oldest surviving brick-built Dragon Kiln in Singapore for wood-firing … it is definitely worth a visit!
Bought a set of 36pc Peranakan dinnerware. Was able to exchange 2 items for chopsticks and the ladyboss was kind enough to add on extra 2 pairs FOC. Gladly accepted a canned drink before leaving the shop.
After an hour, she called me to inform that I left my credit card at the counter. She kept it safe for me to pick up on the following day.
Delivery was prompt and the delivery man was courteous. Everything arrived intact. Each item was wrapped with paper to avoid breakage.
Overall it was an excellent shopping experience at Thow Kwang.
A very cool experience! We did a small pottery workshop. Clear, succinct and easy to follow. It was amusing to see the visiting monkeys produce infinite oranges out of nowhere, chomping down and staring at us work. Incense is burned to ward away any insects or biting bugs.
A labyrinth of potted works- some modern, some dated.
Worth a visit if you're in the area or if you own a car and have a nice morning/afternoon to spend.

Love this place so much! Check out their next dragon kiln firing. This is the oldest surviving dragon kiln in SG. Workshops available too! Prices of the pottery wares are reasonable! Sure to buy something back 😍 …
A blast to the past and beautiful spot in Singapore with little pottery treasures to be found.
